Saved Searches and List Management features make this the easiest EZCheck ever

This latest version adds the ability to save search criteria for future re-use, a huge time saver. The new list management feature enables the user to create complex item lists for use with searches. Popular searches and reports can now be saved and recalled instantly. “This is a huge time saver on regularly run searches and reports.” explains Director of Sales and Marketing, Matt Allsopp. “The already popular multi-select forms now have the ability to save and recall lists of items making re-use of complex lists as easy as clicking a button.” Allsopp continues, “Beta testers were immediately impressed with the time saving new features. This new version of EZCheck Analyzer adds a new report, the Item Transfer report, that makes auditing of transfer activity a snap. We've added even more multiselect options for more detailed searches.

Item Transfer Report

"The Item Transfer report is an exciting new addition." Matt Allsopp, Director of Sales and Service, Whitecap Software Inc. explains, "With this new report you can literally see an item 'bouncing' from check to check to check." Auditing of transfer activity can now be done at a glance, a great time saver.

Enhancements to multiselect functions

"We thought we knew a lot about our customers' needs when we first launched," Matt Allsopp, Director of Sales and Service, Whitecap Software Inc. explains, "but these enhancements are the direct result - a culmnation really - of the learning we've done over the last year."

The new version of EZCheck Analyzer offers increased flexibility and deeper, more detailed analysis. Time and date stamping for each POS entry allows auditors to track - down to the minute - when transactions, such as transfers actually happened. "Our customers asked for this one specifically. Joey Tomato's adopts EZCheck Analyzer

Joey Tomato's Mediterranean Grill is the latest chain to adopt EZCheck Analyzer. A casual dining chain of restaurants specializing in exotic quisine from the Mediterranean and the Orient is implementing the software primarily in its front-line operations. The intent is to give managers an enhanced ability to manage, sort and organize POS data, saving time, adding insight and tracking results efficiently.

Whitecap launches development of Web-based EZCheck Analyzer

Whitecap Software Inc. has started development of a Web-based version of its POS database software, EZCheck Analyzer. A Web-based version would mean increased flexibility for users: As long as you've got a browser, you can get to EZCheck Analyzer.

It's particularly effective and efficient for hospitality organizations with layers of management. When the marketing team, a number of managers and auditors all need to analyze POS data, it makes more sense to buy one version of the software that everyone can access. Regional managers will also benefit: no matter where they go, the data and tool is right at their fingertips.

EZCheck Analyzer is now being put to work on the issues facing chain organizations. "It's the natural next step," says Matt Allsopp, Director of Sales and Service, Whitecap Software Inc., "We knew once EZCheck proved itself in stand-alone operations, larger companies would take notice."

The hugely popular Cactus Club chain uses EZCheck Analyzer in its auditing processes: "We needed something to work with our existing system," explains Michelle Jacobs, POS Specialist, Cactus Club, "and it really integrates well. It helps us keep an eye on the bottom line by effectively auditing all of our locations."

The Foggy Dew chain is making EZCheck Analyzer available to its location managers for day-to-day use. VANCOUVER, BC – 7 June 2004 – Last Friday saw the official launch party of EZCheck Analyzer. Developed to meet the unique needs of the hospitality industry, EZCheck Analyzer enables never-before-seen sales analysis. “This accomplishment sets the tone for Whitecap’s direction,” Matt Allsopp, Director of Sales, Whitecap Software said. “We had developed hospitality-related products for so long, it made sense to serve that market first. We’re already partnering with people in other fields, preparing to expand our portfolio.”

To celebrate this important milestone, a launch party was held on June 4, 2004. Hosted by The Sutton Place Hotel - a beta tester of the product, and now one of the first purchasers - the event offered bar service, sumptuous food and some cool prizes.

Marisol Lau won the grand prize, a free copy of EZCheck Analyzer. Other guests won high-tech gadgets, like a UBS memory stick. “We want to thank all our friends, clients and beta testers for coming out to support us,” Matt said. “It’s an important moment for Whitecap Software and for me personally.”

Whitecap Software Inc. introduces a powerful auditing and sales management tool for the hospitality industry


VANCOUVER, BC – 29 May 2004 – Whitecap Software announced today the release of EZCheck Analyzer. EZCheck Analyzer compliments the POS system, enabling never-before-seen guest check analysis. Managers and controllers are given deeper, more detailed insights into their operations.

Matt Allsopp, Director of Sales for Whitecap Software explains: “EZCheck Analyzer gives managers a new ability to track and refine specific sales promotions. It makes it easier to track individual performance and recognize your best salespeople. For controllers, a more detailed audit trail means better loss prevention. In our experience, the industry has been asking for this for quite some time.”

The process is surprisingly simple. EZCheck Analyzer retrieves guest check data from the POS system and stores it in its own database. (Whitecap recommends using the automated retrieval function to ensure the data is captured regularly.) When it’s time to analyze the data, the user selects and organizes the desired information with just a few clicks. Once the report is generated, it can easily be printed or converted to a variety of formats.
