2.2 What types of reports can EZCheck Analyzer create that my POS system can't?

EZCheck Analyzer customized reporting options lets the user sort and filter the detailed transaction data they want to look at. For example:

Reports that analyze server performance and sales

Yearly maintenance and software enhancement is available at 18% of retail price which covers:

Full help desk support for all technical issues, related to installation, report creation and software use.
Full upgrade installation each year

2.6 Can I try it out first before buying?

Absolutely! Visit our quick registration page, then download and install the demo version. The demo version lets you download your data once, so you can apply EZCheck Analyzer to your own real life situation. After that, simply contact us to arrange to get a paid license for unlimited use.

2.7 How can I purchase EZCheck Analyzer software when I'm ready?

Once you have evaluated the software, you can contact us to purchase a client license directly.

2.8 Is EZCheck Analyzer able to work with our inventory program?

Yes. In most cases EZCheck Analyzer can interface with an inventory product. Please consult with your Client Relations Representative for further info or contact customerservice@whitecapsoftwareinc.com .

2.9 Is there an enterprise version of this software?

An enterprise version of EZCheck Analyzer is currently under development in collaboration with larger chains.

3.1 Who do I contact for technical support?

3.2 What is required for EZCheck Analyzer to work on my system?

EZCheck Analyzer currently interfaces to the Micros 3700 series POS system.

3.3 What are the system requirements?

IBM PC compatible system
Pentium 233 or Faster
64 Megs (128 Recommended) RAM
Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME, or XP
500 Meg Free Disk Space
Color Monitor (600x800 graphics mode)
Mouse

3.4 How do I install EZCheck Analyzer?

It can be installed on the Micros server or a remote compatible computer with minimal effort. Multiple installations of this software may require the assistance of an IT professional.

For Micros users:

Download and save the software to a computer that is networked to your POS server.
If you can already run Micros Reports on the computer you want to load EZCheck onto, proceed with the installation. If you don’t use Micros Reports, please install The Micros Client software. If you’re not sure how to do that, we’re happy to help. Please contact our technical support team by e-mail or call us from 8:30 to 5:30 pacific at 1-877-888-3449 to help you get set up.
Open the Installation Wizard and follow the instructions.

3.5 I’ve installed EZCheck Analyzer, now what do I do?

After you've opened EZCheck Analyzer, click the Download icon to retrieve your POS data.

3.6 How much space will this database take up on my hard-drive?

Each client is different, but plan on at least 500 Megs of data over the course of a year for one location.

3.7 Can I backup my EZCheck database to a disc?

Yes. Under the Utilities Menu, select Archive. With a few clicks you can save your data to a CD ROM, tape backup or central server.

3.8 I can’t get EZCheck Analyzer to start properly. What do I do?

This can happen if you have opened EZCheck Analyzer more than once. Simply close all open EZCheck Analyzer windows, or restart your computer.

3.9 I can’t get logged into EZCheck Analyzer when the password prompt comes up.

The EZCheck Analyzer password is the same as your POS system password. If that doesn’t work, please contact us for technical support.

3.10 The "Failed to connect to POS Database" error message comes up on my screen at log-in:

This means that your connection to the POS server is no longer available. Restart your computer to re-establish the connection. If you still get this error message, please contact us for technical support.

After pressing OK, you will be prompted for an administrative password which was setup during installation. This is not the same as your POS password. If you’re not sure what it is, please contact us for technical support.

3.11 I run a search by date selection and no resultsare found, but I’m sure there’s data in the EZCheck Analyzer database. What happened?

This is sometimes due to different operating systems using a different date format than EZCheck Analyzer. Simply change the default date format in your computer’s Regional Date/Time settings under the Windows control panel. Change the date format to MM/DD/YYYY.

3.12 Does EZCheck Analyzer generate a log file of errors for me to send you?

Yes. The log file records all errors encountered during the operation of the program. This is located in the main directory where EZCheck Analyzer software was installed. We’ll ask you for it if we need it to diagnose any issues that may arise.

3.13 What do I do when the "Utility will compact..." message appears?


Click Yes. This regular function maintains the integrity ofthe database.
